Oliz/Koko-Nora https://oliz.dk/en/ is a Danish company that since 2015 has focused on the high quality and design of assistive products for people with special needs. The design has to be attractive for children and young and elderly people who need comfort and support during their daily life, so they can feel the calmness in their bodies when they use an Oliz/Koko-Nora product. Oliz/Koko-Nora has developed a broad range of products to fit as many people with special needs as possible. This means Oliz/Koko-Nora is focused on finding the right fabrics for the right purpose for each product. Oliz/Koko-Nora never goes on a compromise when developing a new product. The product will always go out for a test to the customers to see if there is a need to change anything about the design or the construction of it. If the feeling of the product is not right, then it is changed to obtain the correct shape and the perfect weight for the use of it. This means Oliz/Koko-Nora work very closely with experienced physiotherapists and occupational therapists who have strong connections to kindergartens of all kinds, schools of all kinds, nursery homes, and special care centers throughout Denmark.
As a high-quality product, the products must be very easy to clean. Either it must be able to go into the washing machine or cleaned by using disinfection soap directly on the product, - that it is all depending on the fabric. All products from Oliz/ Koko-Nora have been tested in relation to the terms that are needed for the product. This means, the toys always have an EN71-1 – 2 – 3 test along with the EN 12182, so they are safe to use. Some of the products are also medically CE-marked by 2017/745 by 5th of April 2017 medical device class 1.
Oliz/Koko-Nora is currently selling the products throughout Denmark and has business partners in Greenland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, and Slovenia.

The expected role of the partner:
The manufacturer must be experienced in sewing various products, e.g. clothing, puppets, linen, etc. Also, the manufacturer must have experience in exporting products, and the key staff must speak English.
The products are right now made/sewn in China, but for logistic and resilience reasons Oliz/Koko-Nora wants European suppliers.
